Description
This digital certification indicates that the participant has completed all three modules of the Microprogram in Financial Planning
and passed the exam for each module. The Microprogram enables participants to acquire essential knowledge in three key areas: finance, retirement and taxation. Each virtual module is 24 hours long and includes a final exam. The Microprogram in Financial Planning explores the fundamentals of personal financial planning, covering key concepts to acquire a comprehensive vision of financial issues and strategic tools to better advise clients.
Those who complete this course were able to:
- Develop their ability to perform financial calculations and understand the origin and significance of the results obtained.
- Learn how to qualify and identify the needs of their customers, so as to better support them in their retirement planning.
- Understand the various savings and retirement income mechanisms available to Canadians.
- Acquire the basic tax concepts needed to understand more specialized subjects.
- Master the main concepts and structural elements of income tax.
Frame of reference
The Microprogram in Financial Planning is based on the Integrated Personal Financial Planning (IPFP) approach, an analysis method developed by the Institute of Financial Planning, and on knowledge and skills in 3 of the 7 areas of financial planning. Criteria
- Completion of the three modules of the Microprogram in Financial Planning;
- Pass the exam for each module.
