Frequently asked questions
What is a digital badge?
A digital badge is a portable image that allows you to display credentials and qualifications online. The badge is linked to a webpage that provides a description of the attestation or qualification and the conditions for earning it, among other things. In other words, a badge is like a certificate or diploma that can be immediately verified online, including what it represents.
What information do the badges contain?
Digital badges contain information about the organization or individual that issued the badge. They also describe the criteria that must be met to earn the badge and, sometimes, links to the standards used for evaluation. Finally, the badge shows when it was issued and provides a verifiable reference concerning the person who earned it.
How will I be informed about earning a digital badge from the IQPF?
You will receive an email from the Institute ([email protected]) that contains instructions for collecting your digital badge.
Can someone else copy and use my IQPF badge?
No. The digital badge is an image that contains encoded data representing information linked to your identity on the Institute platform. Digital certificates are more reliable and secure than paper certificates, because they cannot be falsified.
Where are my badges hosted?
The Institute provides a portfolio space where all the badges you have earned or will earn can be displayed in your profile. The badges can also be downloaded to be displayed on other platforms or digital documents.
Where and how can I share my badges?
You can share your badges on LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook, add them to your email signature or website and put them in your CV.
